A Bit About Me and the Tour
Hi everyone, my name is Keren Zohar and I live in Japan. The Japan I love is the everyday Japan - waiting for the train, ordering a beer, or shopping at the supermarket. That’s the Japan I want to show you. From the small alleys of Shinjuku to the grand pagodas of Asakusa. From the crowds of salarymen rushing through Tokyo Station, to the grandmother selling pickles in Sugamo market. The real Japan is all around us in every place we visit - and I’d love to guide you through it, in all its layers. So, shall we begin? I hold a degree in Asian Studies, am a recipient of a Japanese government scholarship for advanced studies, a Japan correspondent, and have been living in Tokyo for nearly four years. I speak fluent Japanese. Tours: ♡ Asakusa Day Tour A colorful journey through historic streets, temples, and preserved traditions. We’ll explore religion, local customs, and humor, visit wartime-era markets, and a unique social project that reveals another side of Japan. ◇ Shibuya Day Tour An energetic tour through the heart of pop culture, fashion, and kawaii. We’ll explore anime, street art, and the history of the area, and visit Meiji Shrine, Yoyogi Park, Harajuku, and more. □ Neighborhoods Tour An intimate walk through non-touristy neighborhoods, showing Japan as it really is - young, aging, family-oriented, and authentic.
