A Bit About Me and the Tour

Hi I'm Aliza! I’m an architect based in Tokyo, currently pursuing a Master’s degree focused on urban development and the ways Tokyo evolves and reshapes itself. I invite you to explore the city with me - through the places, neighborhoods, and stories that define it. In my tours, I hope to open a door to Tokyo as I experience it: rich, complex, and beautiful in unexpected ways. I aim to tailor each tour to what interests you - architecture and design, Japanese gardens, history, everyday culture, lesser-known neighborhoods, or familiar places seen from a different perspective. As an architect, I also bring a deeper look into urban planning, textures, aesthetics, and the forces shaping Tokyo today. For those interested, we can dive deeper together. The tour lasts about 6 hours, and I’d love to guide you through the places and stories that make Tokyo so unique. Tour Routes I offer two main routes, which serve as a foundation and can be adjusted based on your interests, pace, and time. Shibuya & Surroundings – A City in Motion A tour through one of Tokyo’s most dynamic and fascinating districts. Through its streets, buildings, and public spaces, we’ll explore how the city grows, changes, and operates at a rapid pace. Shibuya blends old and new, everyday life with contemporary architecture, and quiet corners with busy intersections. The route may include the Shibuya Station area, Omotesando, Yoyogi, Meiji Shrine, and Daikanyama—depending on time and what feels right for the group. Tokyo – Between Tradition and Modernity A route that moves through different areas of the city, revealing Tokyo through the meeting point of modern and traditional. We begin at Tsukiji Market, continue to Ginza - Tokyo’s contemporary luxury district - pass through Tokyo Station, and head to Ueno, where key moments in the city’s development took place, including its first public park and cultural institutions. We end in Yanaka, a neighborhood that has preserved its traditional character, offering a quieter, more human side of Tokyo. The tours are suited for those who want to experience Tokyo in a relaxed, curious, and open way. We can discuss in advance and choose the route that fits you best. Pricing: 1–4 participants: $330 USD per group 5–6 participants: $400 USD per group Payment Terms: Deposit: $70 USD at time of booking Remaining balance: paid in cash (yen or USD) on the day of the tour
