Takayama Matsuri Yatai Kaikan is a museum dedicated to the famous Takayama Festival, one of Japan’s most beautiful festivals.

Inside, you can see several of the festival’s ornate floats (yatai), known for their detailed carvings, decorations, and craftsmanship. The displays rotate throughout the year, and the museum also features mechanical dolls used during the festival.
