Saiko Iyashi-no-Sato (いやしの里) is a former farming village on the western shore of Lake Saiko, one of the Fuji Five Lakes.

The village was destroyed by a landslide during a typhoon in 1966. About 40 years later, it was carefully reconstructed, including its traditional thatched-roof houses, and reopened as an open-air museum and traditional craft village where visitors can explore local culture and purchase handmade goods.

Today, the village includes more than 20 houses that have been converted into shops, restaurants, museums, and galleries. Each shop focuses on a different traditional craft - such as pottery, incense, or weaving.

Some of the workshops also offer hands-on experiences, like making incense pouches or small owl figurines. No advance booking is required, and prices typically range from 600 to 1,100 yen - very affordable for the experience.
