Mr. Japan Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Ryuzu Falls (竜頭ノ滝), also known as “Dragon Head Falls,” is one of Nikko’s main natural attractions.
The name comes from the shape of the waterfall, which is said to resemble a dragon’s head (you’ll need a bit of imagination, to be fair).
The falls are surrounded by trees that become especially beautiful during autumn foliage season, enhancing the iconic “dragon” shape.
Entry to the area is free and typically begins from a small observation deck behind a rest house that includes a souvenir shop and a simple food stand. From here, you can continue upstream along an easy trail of about two hours - part of the Senjogahara Marshland route.
