Kappabashi Street

(かっぱ橋道具街, Kappabashi) is a shopping street located between Ueno and Asakusa, lined with dozens of stores selling everything a restaurant owner might need - except fresh food.

Along the street, you’ll find specialty shops for cookware and all kinds of restaurant equipment. But the real highlight (in my opinion) is the shops selling incredibly realistic plastic and wax food samples - the kind commonly used by Japanese restaurants (and across much of Asia).
