The main entrance features the impressive Motenashi Dome - a massive glass structure that acts like a transparent umbrella, letting in plenty of light while protecting visitors from the rain.
Right in front of it stands the striking Tsuzumi Gate, made of wood and inspired by a traditional Japanese drum. It’s become one of the city’s symbols - and chances are you’ll find yourself taking photos of it before even knowing the story behind it.
Around the station, you’ll find a shopping complex with stores, restaurants, cafés, and plenty of gold (literally, Kanazawa is famous for its gold leaf).
