The Hakone Ropeway is one of the best ways to see Hakone from above.

The ride takes you right over Owakudani, where you can see the volcanic activity up close, steam rising from the ground and a really unique landscape you don’t get to see every day. On clear days, you’ll also catch great views of Mount Fuji.

It’s a short ride, but definitely one of the highlights in the area and a fun break between stops.
