The Hakone Pirate Ship is a sightseeing boat that crosses Lake Ashi, and yes, it actually looks like a pirate ship.
It’s a fun and easy way to take in the lake from the water, with views of the surrounding mountains and, on clear days, Mount Fuji in the distance. The ride connects different points around the lake, so it also works as part of getting around Hakone.
It’s a bit touristy, but if you’re already at the lake, it’s worth hopping on.
