Hakone Onsen

Hakone is one of Japan’s most famous onsen areas, known for its natural hot springs spread across the region.

After a day of exploring, there’s nothing better than soaking in a hot bath, especially when it’s surrounded by nature. Some onsen have outdoor baths (rotenburo), where you can relax with views of the mountains, and on clear days, even Mount Fuji.

Whether it’s your first onsen or not, it’s one of those experiences that really feels like Japan, simple, quiet, and very relaxing.
